General Terms and conditions

Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp has expressed in a number of house rules what is expected of visitors within Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp and what you may expect from us. When entering this property, the house rules of Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp therefore apply and you agree to the house rules drawn up as below.

  1. Booking: The minimum age to book a room is 18 years. All guests must be 18 years or older. It is forbidden to rent the room in your name without staying in the room yourself.
  2. Check-in: Guests must present a valid ID (identity card or passport) at check-in. Check-in is possible from 15:00 and check-out must be before 12:00.
  3. Payments: Payment is made upon check-in or check-out (after taking a guarantee on the credit card), unless otherwise agreed. We accept cash and common credit cards.
  4. Noise: Guests are kindly requested to be considerate of other guests and limit noise for another, especially during the quiet hours between 07:00 and 22:00.
  5. Pets: Pets are not allowed in the hotel.
  6. Guest visits: It is forbidden to stay in the room with more people than the number booked as well as to receive visitors in the room. If other guests are found in the room, you will be asked to leave the hotel immediately.
  7. Security: Guests are requested to lock their room doors when leaving and before going to bed. Please do not leave your belongings unattended on the premises Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp and in your car. Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp is not liable for loss, damage or theft of your belongings. Parking both in the car park and in the vicinity of Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp is at your own risk. You must park your car in the designated parking spaces.
  8. Stealing and damage: It is forbidden to take hotel property outside the building. Deliberate damage to hotel property may incur repair and/or renewal costs.
  9. Cleaning: Rooms are cleaned daily. Guests are kindly requested to put away their personal belongings to enable the cleaning staff to work efficiently.
  10. Use of facilities: Guests should use the hotel's facilities, such as gym and wellness, according to the stated opening hours and rules.
  11. Compliance with the law: Guests must comply with all applicable laws and regulations during their stay at the hotel, including compliance with any COVID-19 measures.
  12. Respect: At Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp, we treat each other with respect and it is therefore forbidden to make insults or discriminatory remarks. It is also forbidden by word or gesture (action) to sexually harass our employees. Verbal and/or physical violence will not be tolerated.
  13. Alcohol: Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp must comply with the requirements of the alcohol and catering legislation. We therefore do not serve alcoholic beverages to visitors under 16 years of age. In case of doubt about the age of a visitor, employees of Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp will ask you to show proof of identity. In addition, if drunkenness is suspected, no alcohol will be served to the person in question.
  14. Smoking and narcotics: It is prohibited to consume, use, trade or possess narcotics. Improper sale, use or possession of whipped cartridges and nitrous oxide are also included. Smoking is not allowed in all areas of the hotel, including rooms and common areas. There are designated smoking areas outside the hotel. Upon finding violation of any of the above, the hotel will charge a fine of €150 and the person(s) will be asked to leave immediately. Fire-fighting facilities must not be misused.
  15. Lost property: Lost property should be handed in at reception. Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp maintains a retention period of 3 months for lost property.
  16. Complaints and suggestions: For complaints or suggestions, our staff are always ready to help. Please do not hesitate to contact reception.
  17. Calamities: The employees of Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp watch over your safety, in case of calamities the emergency plan will be activated. You are kindly yet urgently requested to follow any instructions given by the staff.
  18. Fire: In case of fire, stay calm. Report fire to reception and/or strike the nearest fire alarm. In the event of a general fire alarm, leave the building immediately and do not use the lifts under any circumstances.
  19. Fire safety: It is not allowed to light candles for fire safety reasons. The security system will be activated immediately.
  20. Emergency door: In Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp the use of the emergency doors is only allowed in case of emergency.

All instructions given by employees of Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp, relating to the house rules, must be followed immediately.

The Management, the owner of this location and/or persons working for the hotel cannot be held liable for any injury and/or material or immaterial damage suffered by visitors to the location.

Van der Valk Hotel Brugge - Oostkamp has a zero tolerance policy. This means that in case of non-compliance with our house rules, no warning will be given, but you will be asked to leave the hotel immediately. No money will be returned and any deposit paid will be retained.
